reasons why MOVING is sometimes the best idea in the world

1. because, believe it or not, paying 25% of your monthly salary on rent (instead of 50%) can be kind of awesome.
2. because having heat in the middle of the night means you don't have to wake up at 4am shivering for dear life!
3. there's no longer a 10-15 minute walk to the bus stop. a 1 minute walk will suit me just fine, now, thanks.
4. who says you need more than 1 room to be happy?
5. because being closer to the gym (as well as 100 clothing stores like zara, mango, h&m, etc.) is never a bad thing...
6. high speed internet. enough said.
7. showering makes for much cleaner hair than having to wash your hair in a bathtub every day*.

translation: if you're currently living in a very, very small german village outside of nuremberg, it might pay off for you to move to a city outside of nuremberg instead.

just a thought!

*in my former apartment, i had no shower - just a bathtub. this is actually very normal around here! some of my friends have the same bathroom layout. i'm not a fan...

sounds like GOOD IDEA!!! And moving is sometimes great to start on a new season of life... organize... get rid of things... change something. etc. And those are GREAT reasons to move.

I wish I could move. I dream about the day I will be able to.

just think.. now you can use that extra 25% at all of those great shops. Who needs to save anyways?

ow, crazy about the bathtub situation! I had that deal in London, but after about two weeks, I had a shower installed! You're tough for sticking it out for so long!

sounds much better! when I studied abroad in France all we had a was a bathtub with one of those spay hoses. My roommate and I would find ways to tie it up into a shower... but it was really short so we had to duck. lol

Agree with you on all those points! Congrats on the move, and may you enjoy spending the extra money you're saving on all of the fabulous shops you now have closeby. :)

movin on up! congrats! our apartment had been freshly remodeled when we moved in, and did not have shower doors or any way to hang a shower curtain (the wall is a strange angle) after a few months of only baths and lots of begging we finally convinced the landlord to put glass doors on. Baths are such a hassle and are much better enjoyed when you choose to take a bath, rather than be forced to.
Hope all is lovely in the new place!

Yay! My roomies are leaving in two weeks and I'm deathly afraid of being here alone :(

1. Sounds great!
2. As a Finnish person I don’t agree :)
3. Sounds great!
4. I agree! My last apartment was small and lovely but I always thought I wanted a bigger one. Now I have 70 m² and I don’t do anything with the extra space. It just creeps me out in the dark night to be in that big space, alone.
5. Hahahahah :) You said it :)
6. Exactly! I hate my sim-card-usb-stick that never ever works. I miss good and proper connections.
7.Really??? Just a bathtub?? Respect!

OH MY GOODNESS!! I am so glad I found your blog. I am half German but have lived in America my whole life. Our family took a cruise up in the Baltic Sea area last summer and I fell in LOVE with Europe. My parents have been to Austria and Germany and loved it there, especially Berchesgarten [spelling maybe incorrect?].

So, I am going to live vicariously through you as you share your life over in Europe!! Yay!!

oh my gosh, i'm so happy for you!!! your new apartment sounds infinitely better. i think having a home where you can do things like, oh i don't know, take a shower and not freeze to death, is really important for your overall wellbeing.

Frameless Shower Door said...

Frameless shower doors are very economical to purchase and hence they can easily be purchased by the average people. They look very delicate and thin apparently and thus many people are afraid that they would easily break. However the fact is that they are much more strong, thick, and durable than the ordinary glass and this makes their maintenance easier.
