midnight, or…twilight.
baselJAG4photo 1 (12)

i’m not obsessed with the touristy sights of paris.  i’ll take meandering through the latin quarter over waiting in line at notre dame, the louvre and museum d’orsay any day of the week.
but…the eiffel tower wins me over every time.  especially at dusk.  those twinkly lights are magic.

I love these Parisian posts! And I have a good story about those twinkly lights...
When my mom and sister came to collect me after my study abroad, we met in Paris. Our hotel was near the Arc de Triomphe. Naturally I wanted them to see these lights so we went for a walk near the Arc and waited for the lights to sparkle. Well we waited... and waited... and waited until my mom was convinced I was making it all up. Though I protested we returned to the hotel. After consulting the guidebook I realized we had missed the lights by 5 MINUTES! And of course by this time an hour had elapsed and they were about to start again. Cue frantic running back outside. Still it was definitely worth it :)
