I love Germany :) I have family friends that live right outside of Hamburg :) Germans, though they sometimes can be rude in the market places (just pushing without saying excuse me, hahaha), are so sweet...and they really do have such a wonderful culture. It has a home sweet home feel to it :)

I totally agree! I am also currently living in Germany. It has been quite suitable for me since I get to meet people from different cultures. To go to graduate school in Germany, one must first -- if they don't have german Degree, that is -- attend a college. This gives me the chance to meet a lot of people from different cultures. They are sometimes impatient when we speak German slowly or incorrectly but their limited knowledge of English is quite advantageous for us.

Your blog is wonderful! I currently live in Germany, albeit with the military which is a completely different experience. I love Europe so far, and especially love the German peoples and their culture. I can't wait to start traveling, and will definitely be checking back on your site for some guidance and ideas!

I love Dresden, it's such a beautiful city! My husband and I have bounced around Germany over the past few years for his hockey career. Can't wait to catch up on more of your travels!

Happened to come across your blog and have a similar story. Moved to Austria in 2006 for Fulbright and fell in love with it. Currently living in Switzerland but will always consider Austria my one true love. Good to know about German though - easier to learn in Germany?
